CLASSICAL BALLET

Students can choose to take part in the RAD Syllabus We are proud to be able to offer the RAD syllabus here at HCDC with our fully registered professional RAD instructor.

Throughout the world of dance training the Royal Academy of Dance is unique. Founded in 1920 it has grown to become the largest examining and training body for Classical Ballet in the World. We offer graded Examinations as well as Presentation Examinations through the RAD which are devised with great care to enable a child to progress through their dance training in planned stages, demanding no more of a young body than it can cope with.

These classes are also taken by qualified ballet teachers helping to improve posture, physical strength, expression and flexibility progressing students through a planned structure.

These general classes do not take part in “outside” examinations but have the opportunity to take part in assessments within HCDC.

Ballet classes for children of varying ages as well as adult ballet classes are available.

Adult Ballet Classes

These class caters to a range of body shapes, sizes and varying fitness levels offering the joys of classical ballet whilst developing grace, flexibility and strength.
